Norton 360 – Review, Coupon and Download

Newsflash: Norton are currently offering 10% off if you follow this link and enter the code 10OFFSYM.

Norton 360 3.0 is impressive from the word go. Last years norton products were complete but slowed down your system visibly (dont even get me started on the McAffee products), but running the new norton 360 suite ran at a mere 3% of my dual core 2ghz CPU time. Thats fast guys, particularly for a suite that includes virus scanning  (both of the file system, browser and emails). This speed up on norton internet security 2007 is due to a throttling process that schedules tasks to be run when the cpu is already idle.

In terms of specs Norton 360 requires 256mb of ram and 300mb of install space. The interface is rather simliar to the standard Vista security interface: green means good and red means the system is complaining you haven’t upgraded/ enabled some service.

As a nice little bonus norton also provide 2gb of online backup space so you can access your backups on the go.

Finally, the main reason people may go for Nortons latest offering is that 360 is completely compatible with Windows Vista, unlike many other security suites.
